So you want to improve your writing. There are many ways to improve your writing and if you ask one hundred people how to improve your writing, you will get one hundred different ways. Unfortunately, there are only a few tried and true ways to take on the gargantuan task of improving your writing.

If you search the internet you will feel a little intimidated as there are thousands upon thousands of websites offering you tips and tricks to improving your writing. Search YouTube and you will find thousands of writing guru’s offering you their advice on writing.

The truth is, there are only a few ways to improve your writing. Actually, to be honest there is only one way to improve your writing and the way to improve is no secret. The way to improve your writing is a tried and true way, but it is a route most people do not like to pursue. It is not a popular way because it involves work.

“So how do I improve my writing!”

You improve your writing by practicing. That is the key to becoming a better writer; it is no secret. Write everyday and with everybody on lockdown, there are no excuses. You have plenty of time on your hands.

“How do I practice?”

You buy yourself a writing tablet and some pens or pencils. Pick a topic which interests you and brainstorm. What is brainstorming? It is a technique people use to come up with ideas on a certain topic. You sit and write everything which comes to your mind about the topic you are going to write about. This is the basic principal behind brainstorming as there are many variations on this technique, you can find more about brainstorming on the internet.

Now you have some ideas to explore in your writing go ahead and put your pen to paper. If you want to practise writing in the modern way, then turn on your computer and open a word document and type away. This is probably the most preferred way to write in today’s society. Which ever way you decide, the downside to this is you have a nice post you put a lot of work into and nobody can see it. A better alternative is after you have brainstormed, write a blog; the whole world will see it.
