“The Thing that many of us think about hails from the 1991 film The Addams Family and its 1993 sequel The Addams Family Values.” I have to disagree with you on this one point. The version of the Thing that many people think of has to be from the television series from 1964 to 1966.

The television series was on for two seasons and was in syndication for over fifty-years. You can still find the television version of The Addams Family on late-night cable shows.

No doubt that The Addams Family and its sequel were great movies but they don’t have the lasting quality of the original television series.
